24th Suffer much from want of food & clothing All at work building chimnies to our tents A very-cold day, Rations come in slowly but we enjoy the result 25 Drew 5 days half rations Finished my chimney having transported the brick nearly 2 miles, 26th,, Baker of Co. C shot last night by a guard in 101st 2nd mortally wounded A good deal of artillery firing last night At noon we get orders to leave for somewhere
