Nov 10 1885. According to adjournment the Club met with Mrs Alexander. Six members present. Minutes read and approved. Mrs Jackson opened the meeting with a most interesting article of her own production. It was a summary of the work done during the past few weeks and was greatly enjoyed by all the members. It freshened our minds and brought back many of the important things we learned. Mrs Hinderman followed giving the Kings and Queens in order, beginning with the first which began in 827. She also read a piece entitled the "Field of the Cloth of Gold" Mrs Mitchell read an account of the schools of England. Comparing them - with ours. The plan on which our schools are conducted being for more satisfactory than theirs. Mrs Rathbone read a piece, after which we could not decide neither the English are all English or part American. As the greater part of all they use is made in our country. Mrs La Mange was excused from duty on account of a previous engagement for her son. Adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Mitchell
