15 Stockton". Mrs. Maddock read a paper upon "Catacombs". Mrs. Hindman conducted a "Parlimentary Drill," Mrs. Voris read for a half hour from "Egyptian Princess." Pres. appointed Mrs. Hindman to read from "Egyptian Princess" at the next meeting. Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Hindman. Mrs. Ives Pres. Ida P. Knowlton Sec. Apr - 22 - 1900. The Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Hindman with sixteen members and one visitor present Pres. presiding. Roll call responded to by quotations from Pansy. Minutes of last meeting read and approved . Sec. read an invitation from [Thersstrian?] Club to a reception Friday April - 27 - at Maifs Adalisa Daniels. Motion made and carried, that it be accepted and Sec. instructed to write an acceptance. Pres. read a letter from General Federation of Womens Clubs in regard to membership. Motion made and carried that no action be taken - that the matter be dropped. Chairman of committee on Club story reported that said story could be printed at the cost of $30. per hundred copies. Motion made and carried that it should not be printed.Motion made and carried that the story be perserved so that club can have it printed in the future if it so desires. Mrs. Hindman kindly proposed to copy the story if Club be willing to furnish material. Motion made and carried to that effect. Mrs. Hurlbert and McKean & much to the sorrow and regret of the Club tendered there resignation as active members. Motion made and carried that there resignation be accepted and they be placed on the retired list. Motion made and carried that the Club wait two weeks to propose names for membership.
