55 after which a pleasant social hour was spend during which time the company enjoyed a duet by Misses Alexander and Voris. Adjourned to meet Feb. 23 with Mrs. Gibson. Mrs. Mentzer, Pres. Mrs. Anderson, Sec- February 23 - 1903 - The Cary Club met with Mrs. Gibson ten members being present. On account of the illness of the Pres. the Vice Ores. Mrs. Davis called the meeting to order and presided. Mrs. Gibson's paper on "Women of the Revolution" and Mrs. Brown's paper on "Our National Capital" were both very interesting. Current events were also especially interesting. Adjourned to meet March 9 with Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Mentzer - Pres. Mrs. Anderson - Sec. March 9 - 1903 - The Cary Club met with Mrs. Brown nine members being present. Mrs. Gibson appointed critic. The question of college education for women was discussed with considerable interest by the club. Mrs. Alexander read a paper on the life of Cecil Rhodes. The following names were proposed- Miss Anna [Clevington?], Mrs. J. S. Alexander - Mrs. Hallet. Adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Dobson. Mrs. Mentzer Pres. Mrs. Anderson Sec.
