82 Cary Club met at the home of Mrs. Maddock Dec 12" 1904. Called to order by the President Twelve members responded to roll call. Minutes of last meeting read and approved, Mrs. Gibson was appointed critic. It was moved and seconded that the Secretary write a letter of sympathy to Mrs. Cook. Mrs. Griffiths then read her paper on Japan of 100 years ago, Japan of today was the subject of a paper by Mrs. Phelps, both of which were very instructive. Mrs. Hadwin most delight fully entertained the ladies by a talk on her recent trip abroad which was appreciated and enjoyed by all present. Current events were omitted owing to the lateness of the hour. Club adjourned to meet in three weeks with Mrs. Voris After adjournment the hostess invited the ladies to spend a social hour during which time her daughter Mrs. Defriel served refreshing refreshments.
