After hearing the first part of the talk, I think we are all thankful we live in the present age and not fifty or Seventy five years ago. The club gave Mrs. Blinks a rising vote of thanks for her kind hospitality. After which Club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Elson. Mrs. Addie Shumack, Pres. Mrs. A.T. Bishop Sec. Marion Iowa Oct. 19" 1914. Cary Club met with Mrs. Elson. Fifteen members responded to roll call with connundrums. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Mrs. Mentzer reported the meeting of the city federation. Mrs Mentzer, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Alexander also gave reports of the District Federation meeting. Motion was made by Mrs. Brown. "Our delegate be instructed to pledge fifty cents for the "Tomato Girl." Plans for Guest day were discussed.
