  Cary Club held the first meeting of the year

at the home of Mrs E J Mentzer
Thirteen members answered Roll call by quotation
The retiring Pres Mrs A M McKean called the
meeting to order.
Minutes of last meeting read approved.
Sec'y Treasurer gave there report.
Treasurer reported the first payment French
orphan was paid from Club Treasury. Sec'd
payment by subscriptions of members. Third
from Club Treas.   Sec'y & Treas. report accepted

  Mrs M McKean then made a few kindly
  remarks. Mrs J R Alexander the new
  Pres resumed place with the hope of

the cooperation of the members for a successful
year.     Program followed 

  Mrs J R Alexander. "How Old is Man."
  Mrs L. Bailey           "J R Roosevelt" 
  Current events given.
 Club adjd to meet in two weeks with
  Mrs Phelps
