56 Marion Iowa. Sept 13, 1920. The Cary Club held the first meeting of the club year at the home of Mrs Bailey. The Vice President Mrs Pyle called club to order, 15 members responded to roll call and one visitor Miss Angel. Minutes of last meeting read and approved, also annual report of secretary and treasurer accepted as read. Moved and carried that the papers of no value in the club be destroyed. The chairman of program committee Mrs Blinks changed four subjects on the program and substituted other material. It was moved and carried that we have guest day at the next meeting instead of October 25th. A committee of Mrs Blinks, Bailey and Waffle were appointed to arrange for the meeting and entertainment. Mrs Pyle the new President was called on for a speech and responded in per genial manner. Mrs Griffiths gave her work, Prologue on Ireland and Mrs Bailey gave Mrs Phelps work, a Glance at Irelands History. Current events were given and club adjourned. Carrie Reickert Sec'y.
