The W. C. T. U. meeting was held at the residence of Mrs. G. O. Watland Tuesday, March 17. Meeting opened with scripture reading by Mrs. German and was followed by prayer by Mrs. Hes. It was moved and seconded that the chair appoint a committee from each ward to visit schools. The following were appointed: [Cooper?] Mrs. Hay and Mrs. Alden. Parker, Mrs. Dietrich and Mrs. Richards Davis, Mrs. Hess + Mrs. Stoaks Center, Mrs. Watland + Mrs. Kearney. The following members were appointed committee for market day. Mrs. John Evans, Mrs. E. M. Kearney, Mrs. Mary Furber, Mrs. May Hess and Mrs. J. S. Stoaks. A very pretty and impressive service followed in which the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bohetedt was made a white ribbon recruit. Mrs. J. S. Stoaks had the program, which was ably given. Showing the harm and waste of the cigarette habit besides the effect our growing youth. A discussion following the program which brought out different view points of the situation and an interesting meeting was brought to a close. Mrs. James McKee, Secretary
