66 W.T.C.U.Picnic was held at the home of Mrs J.C. Lincoln July 18th. Order of meeting was reversed to await arrivals of Westfield ladies who had charge of program. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Motion made by Mrs J. S. Stoakes seconded by Mrs J. C. Lincoln to have nominating committee appointed by the President. Greetings from Mrs Stocks delivered by Mrs Robt Lincoln urging us not to lie down but carry on our work. Miss Bailey read some statements from Gov. Herring's speech at Des Moines. Mrs Jesse Lord had charge of devotionals Song-America followed by Scripture 121st. Psalm. Prayer was offered by Mrs Howell. Mrs E. W. Gregson, our new Co. Pres., was with us and gave us a word of greeting. Pres. appointed the following as nominating committee: Mrs Tom McIbrath[?], Mrs McGwin, Mrs Irivey[?] Song by Marveen Pierce Dorothy Rempp Reading. Elizabeth Lord. Played "Carpet Rags" Characters Katherine Krumm Mrs Howell, Blanche Howell Ellen Howell, Nellie Lincoln Mrs Ada Hart. Mrs Howell gave a short talk leaving as her Motto "We are not licked till we quit." Meeting adjourned. Pot luck luncheon enjoyed by the group and the many guests present. Mrs Geo Lincoln Sec.
