92 -October 1934- (continued) brewers feared the most is a little temperance magazine for children, The Young Crusader. Rev. Miss Butler reported on the address by Rev. McKay; Miss Palmer's demonstration of the use of the syllabus; and Mrs. Ida B. Wise Smith's talk on the International Conference held in Sweden. We voted to have a chairman for declamotory contest. Sympathy was expressed for Mrs. George Mitchell in the loss of her father, Mr. Akin, of Oskaloosa. A welcome was given to Mrs. Effie Stocks who has returned to Grinnell to live. Meeting adjourned.
