123 -Jan. 1936- The W.C.T.U. met with Mrs. C. S. George Jan. 21, 1936. 10 were present. Mrs. Stewart read the devotions, using the 27th psalm, from Moffatt's division. There was a season of prayer. Minutes of the Dec. meeting read and approved. Miss Butler was empowered to appoint a program committee. On the program. Mrs. Stewart read about the growth of gambling; 73 factories making gambling devices. Miss Sherman told a sweet story about Sankey, where the singer was traveling, in 1875, and sang the Song, "Ninety and Nine." Mrs. Watland told about a song composed to the memory of Frances E. Willard. Mrs. George, as a girl, sang in one of Miss Willard's quartettes. Mrs. Hamilton talked about Saloons in Calif. and Ohio. Miss Bailey talked about wine and beer and railroad accidents. Plans were made to have a Frances E. Willard program Feb. 18, since Feb. 17this Frances Willard day, the day she died. Adj. Ada Park, Secy. app. at Feb.
