146 April 1937 Two newspaper clippings at top of page and down the left side of page. The W.C.T.U. met April 20, 1937, with Mrs. H. H. Fleener at 305-5th Avenue. Eight members were present. Collection $1 00. Report was given that the sum of $29 30 was made at the bakesale. Mrs. Hess and Miss Sherman added $3 00. Total amount $32.30. Annual dues are due in April. Covers till Sept. 1937. Books close Sept. 15th. At the memorial service for Miss Jennie Bailey, Mrs. Lincoln said that Miss Bailey, having no house cares in her later life, could lunch down town, could see people, and business places. Mrs. German spoke of Miss Bailey's courage-She knew how to go into poor homes. Mrs. Hess said that on Market Day, Miss Bailey distributed a basketfull to poor children that never had cookies. a wavy arrow bottom right on page pointing upward and to the right at top right of page is a straight arrow pointing upward angling to the right
