March mtg. with Mrs. John Evans.  Announcement made that we will make use of mite[?] box instead of bakesale.  Union Signal for Stewart Library is paid till Oct. 1941.  Ada Park. Sec.

At the April meeting, the Feb. and Mar. minutes were read and approved.  Mrs. Mitchell read a letter saying that six beer regulating bills were passed.  Said Mr. Stewart sent telegram to pass local option.  The State W.C.T.U. sent petitions with 31000 signatures.  Mrs. Barnum said the Army has increased the number of chaplains in the Army to one chaplain for every twelve hundred men.  Mrs. Mitchell read a letter from Vera Cramer asking us to have a regional conference here May 1st. We cannot. Ada Park-Sec.
