230 (Continuing Oct. 1945) Nov. 1945. Rev. Loose conducts the devotions, saying "The Christian Home is a unit in a Christian World Society". Mrs. McBlain, giving her report on the convention at Chariton, said 200 were enrolled. She sold what Ida B. Wise Smith said. Also, said 164 could vote. A thank offering taken at the convention was $1,500.00 We applauded Mrs. McBlain. We listened to a definition which showed the difference between (1) Drama and (2) The theatrical A playlet was given, entitled Mrs. Benson Wakes Up. Mrs. Benson; Mrs. Jackson Robert: Mrs. Loose Jean: Mrs. McClure Applause! Secretary's report on Sept. Mtg. was read and accepted. Treasurer's report: $63.76 in treasury but $21.00 must be sent from this sum to the State. We voted $5.00 to Mrs. McBlain for expenses to Convention. Moved by Mr. McBlain and recorded by Mr. Manson that we have another co-operative supper and that the men be invited. A vote of thanks was given Mr. and Mrs. McBlain. Adjourned. Ada Park, Sec'y. Nov. 1945. On Nov. 20, 1945, the WCTU met with Mrs. Clara Watland. Devotions were with Mrs. McCarger who reviewed the talk by Judge Fred Bales given Nov. 18 at the Southside Friends Church. Nellie Lincoln presented the program, on the topic, Deptartments. Mrs. Skiles said that 32 children attend the LTL meetings.
