Feb. 17, 1970 W.C. T. U. The meeting held in home of Mrs. Bailey was opened by the pres. Lela Adams, we gave the three flag salutes. "Christ's Standard of the Golden Rule" were the devotions given by Carol Sammon. We sang "I would be True" written by Mr. Howard Walter who fought in World War I. Lela Adams read the poem "The Rose Beyond the Wall" in memory of Francis Willard. We then prayed the 23 Psalm. The secretary's report was read and approved. Lela read a letter from our state pres., Cecil Roberts about educational books we could read. One was "Goof Balls" and the other good is Wedding Feast. Mabel Morgan read a letter she received from Senator Jack Miller. He state that there would be no more cigarette advertising on TV after Jan. 1, 1971. The treasurer reported $29.00 in the treasury. She also said we should send in our Willard Fund of $2.00, the Stevens fund of $2.00 and the $3.00 for Legislative purposes. It was moved and seconded that we send in the $7.00. Three of us put our money in the birthday bank. Eloise Keister took note of our calls
