The W.C.T.U. monthly meeting was held at the home of Mrs. J.H. Rowe Apr. 19. 1927. There were sixteen present. The president presided Mrs. H.O. Shaw led the devotions. She took for her subject some of the parables of Jesus reading from the 18th Ch. of Luke. The song, "Revive us Again" was then sang, Prayers were offered by Mrs German and Rev. Fryhoff. The secretary's report was read and approved The treasurers report read and approved. $31.72 was received from the market held Apr. 16th, 1927. A bill of $1.50 was allowed Mrs. M.E. Hess for flowers for Miss Maria Okey's funeral. Miss Okey was a faithful member of the [illegible] Union for many years. Her passing away is keenly felt. Rev A.J. Fryhoff spoke on "Prohibition the Best Method of Solving the Liquor Problem" Mrs J.H. Rowe sang a very impressive temperance song. Meeting closed with the benediction Anna Hudnutt, Sec.
