Saving...
Penn Yan April 3 1836 Dear Father - I have written to Mr Culver to day and have enclosed to him a bond and mortgage for $800, - this is two hundred dollars more than I expected I should want to raise from him but I hope that it will be of no objection - In selling out I had to make it that amount and shall be perfectly willing to have him deduct from the amount such a sum as will completely indemnify him the Interest is not to be paid until the first of May and of course he ought to make that deduction if he send me the money sooner which I hope he will - for I have an opportunity of going with friend of mine almost the whole distance at a comparatively little expense & he thinks of going sometime this month - I wish you would see Culver about it - the premises mortgaged are the same for which a motion was made for a new trial a report of which you will find in 12 Wendell 258 - there had been a law suit pending respecting it for several years and you will see by that can that the title is settled beyond dispute - Proper himself is worth independent of that land two thousand dollars - I received a letter from Stewart and was very much gratified, I shall again write to him and also to you previous to my going Yours affectionately Henry Eno Stephen Eno
