Saving...
times within the past month of going east - I much want to see you, to be of some assistance to you if I can be & to be company for you should you be lonely - and if you desire it I will not hesitate a moment, I make the offer because not only duty but inclination prompts it, if then my dear father you wish the company & the assistance of your son you have but to express the desire & your wishes shall be gratified. The facilities for communication are such that the journey can be made in a week. Elizabeth wishes to go to Elmira & stay there a few months among her relatives & friends - the journey may do her good, should I go I should take the Northern route by the way of the Lakes. The past winter has been very mild and the Spring opens unusually early, the grass now looks green & the leaves will soon be out. I should like much to hear from some of my old friends at the Plains, (illegible) Mr Culver Mr Myers Taylor Mr Berwick & many others. Time I presume has made its impression upon them as well as upon myself. I suppose I should hardly know Stewart Walter or Mary I often think of them and hope they will not forget their Uncle Harry. I wrote a little letter to Mary which you will please hand to her. Elizabeth asks to be remembered to you to William & his family & to Ron - Remember to all Very affectionately yours Harry Eno S.
