Sunday morning Dear Effectionate Children I thought I would add a few lines to Beates letter under the Blessings of god we are all well & hoping that thease few lines may find you all well I mean all my friends & Relitivs Kate is working for the Banker at Camanche Henry I am cuting my wheat which is poor But the wheat that was sowen on fall ploughing is goodit wil yeald30 Bushels per acer I Borrowed 6 B of wheat of 1 of my nabours the same man had over twelve hundred B of wheat in a house & as much more to thrash of old wheat & has growing about 4 thousand B more such wheat & corn & oats I never saw grow wheat is now 54c per Bushel my corn looks fine if you get into the field you will get lost as in a wood when the sun does not Shine we have green corn plenty of watermelons Some as large in camanche as 3 quart pail I have finished my haying friday last I had the Best grass I evr saw I cut all I wanted about 12 tons In 3 1/2 day and
