Dear Mother we received your letter last week and was glad to hear that you was well and have a good hired girl to help you I have no girl yet Mother you wrote you would like to have me send you some strawberries They are all gone I did not have a great many because I was not able to pick them I am ashamed to say we have not been to meeting but once or twice since we have been in this state I was not able to go the most of the time and Henry did not like to go alone and then we have not had any way to go only in a double wagon you wanted to know where Kate was she is teaching school and boards at home Mother you wanted to know if I thought Kate and Thomas would a match I do not in any preparations only Thomas talks of buying a farm Kate and Thomas is a going to attend the fourth but I do not think they will be married Thomas goes to see Kate once in two weeks so our little girls says
