Philadelphia July the 16 1865 My dear children I now sit down to wright a few lines to you to let you know that we have not forgotten you we recieved Climenas letter last night and was verry glad to hear from you we was afraid that the tornado had blown you all away and was sorry to hear that Climenas health is poor yet I hope that doctor will cure her in a short time we are all verry sorry that henry did not sell his grain when the prise was up but I hope that he won't trouble to mutch about it there has a great many lost some on one thing and some on another a great many dairies of nice butter which they were offerd fifty sents for has been sold for twenty cents henry [brown?] and the man that is in partnership with him has lost seven thousand dollars in buying wheat I must inform you that our beloved friend [illegible] gardner has departed this life she died in pensylvana she went to yearly meeting in the
