Philadelphia Dec 21 1865 My dear children I take this opportunity to to wright a few lines to you to let you know that we have heard from you once more and we was verry glad to hear that Henry had got well for we was afraid that he was verry sick or dead thomas said that he was better when he rote more than twoo monts ago we got thomases letter day before yester day and yours yesterday and Willas picture tell her that her grandma had to sit down and cry over it not because she was sorry to see her but because she was glad and to think that I cannot come and see her and all the rest of you I think that i am the lonesomest person int he world but I dont suppose that same tomorrow morning it will be six weeks since my brother and sister left here and I have not seen a woman nor give since Climena I was sorry to hear that thy health was so poor the had not ought to exposed thy self so mutch when henry was sick you had ought to had someboddy to helpt you all the time
