Philadelphia Oct the 19 1868 My dear children I now sit down to wright a few scriblings lines to you to let you know that we are all well I am adoing my work alone now and I got along verry well henry we was verry sorry to hear that thy corn was killed with the frost the had better come back to york state again than to stay in Iowa for I think that the could do better here than there if thomas has not bought a farm yet I hope that he will not buy in that country for I think that he can do better here than there for the market is so mutch better here than there Climena I think that purple calico is verry handsome I should like to know the prise that pease that I sent in that budge et was twenty cents a yard that was apese of my dress the onely one that I have had since you left this country
