cousin dont let any of them dictate to you what you shall do at least not till you are engaged to some of them and then you will have sence enough to drop me with out it and I will withdraw from the scene as gracefully as you please even if it does come hard to give you up but i hope cousin mine there wont be any need for such kiss steps for a long time. Was it the [back?] eyed Mr. Allen who was the offending party? or dont you wish to tell. Let me know how things are getting along in setteling your fathers affairs. i hope you wont have to give up your home dont be afraid to write to me just as you [fell?] and just [illegible] as I will be glad to sympathize with you if I cant do any more. Write a long letter as you promiced with lots of love I am your Coz Mell
