could only get him out here he would have to acknowledge it. Hattie said that if he should make up his mind to come and she would not be surprised if he did that we would not know any thing about it till he put in his appearance I wish you might come what a time we could have! I am sorry to say that I have very little hope of it am afraid we will have to depend on our correspondence for the present for what pleasure we get out of our acquaintance. I for one get a great deal of pleasure out of it your letters seem dearer to me all the time if this keeps on I will begin to think I have a case of the genuine article and am badly "struck"
