Regular officers present Meeting opened with Singing and by prayer by the Chaplin Minutes of the last meeting read and approved The subject (Resolved that our own Country stand preeminent in temperence work) for discussion was next taken up W S Wilson & Mr Phelps speakers on the affirmative & negative sides of the question being absent the chair gave the Speakers present the opportunity to choose from audience their assistants Mr J B Romans leading dispudent on the affirmative chose R Shaw Van
