Denison La. July 26, 1879 The Denison Total abstinence Union met pursuant to adjournment. The meeting opened with music and prayer by Mr. Lanb. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. In the absence of Mr. Plimpton Mr Lanb. read a selection. Mrs Phelps and Miss Mattie Wagoner who wer on the programme for reading were absent. Misses Plimpton, Legtley and Purdy and [illegible] Knight and Legtley then favored the meeting with music. The following programme was reported for next week: Address L.M. Shaw Select Reading Mary Denisoon " " Mollie Wilson " " R.J. Lane Music, in charge of Miss Morga. Receipts of the evening 50 ct Chas R Meyers Sec.
