Denison La Aug. 23/89 The Denison Total Abstinence Union met pursuant to adjournment. The meeting opened with music, and prayer by the Chaplain. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. As per programme Mr. Lane mad an interesting address on the subject of temperance, especially personal work. Miss Julia King then read and interesting selection, followed by Miss Kittie Woolston, who read an amusing talk by an old fashioned lady. Miss Lana Purdy, Mrs. J. B. Hawk and [illegible] Lane and Knight then favored the meeting with music. Mr. E.D.Partridge, then volunteered a selection.
