106 Denison Ia. Sept. 20. 1879. The Denison Total Ab- stinence Union met pursuant to adjournment. In the absence of the President Mr. A. F. Bond took charge of the meeting. The min- utes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The President being ab- sent with the programme volunteers were called on. Mr. Phelps and Belle Faub read interesting selections. Misses Alice and Lillie Burlingamme and [illegible] Sayre and Plimpton then favored the meeting with music. Mr. E. S. Plimpton then read an interesting selection on Ghosts. Revinds misses Ward and Hawk were chosen as dele- gates to the 9th Congressional [illegible] convention of the W. C. J. W.
