Denison [illegible] Dec. 27, 1879. The Denison Total Union met at the usual time and place, the President in the chair. The meeting opened with singing and Mayer by Rev. J B Hawk. The minutes of the previous meeting were read, and after correction approved. Claud Burlingamme began the entertainment of the meeting by reading a temperance piece fol-lowed by Willie Plimp-ton with a temperance recitation. Willie Meyers then read a selection fol-lowed by Levi Snow with a temperance piece. Music by the Union came next in order. Mable Wilson then recited a selection of poetry; Willie Plimpton then recited a temperance [piece?].
