Ordinarily packing is not a big job and I have certainly done plenty of it in my lifetime with our tripping about the world. At this time, however, it had seemed an extraordinarily tremendous undertaking. In preparation for leaving I had been sorting out things for several days - for even in a hospital things have a way of accumulating and getting out of place. So by slow steps everything had been fitted together.
