Blakesburg Iowa July 10 1875 Mr Geo. S. Finney Your letter of the 28th ult. was duly recd by yesterdays nail, and glad to hear that you were well, and had quit driveing stage. We have been haveing a terrible wet season. every thing is flooded, the Desmoines was never known so high before. No boddy has Plowed any corn yet, and this the 10th day of July the grass and weeds it Leeves will take every thing. the farmers on Soap Creek have sufferd terribly this season. What you wrote me about Albert Looseing his Suit in Court did not surprise me any.
