Blakesburg Ia June 13 1880 Mr George Finney I wrote you some 4 weeks ago that I had an offer of 2000$ for your place & that I thought I would get 2200$ But Mc has kind of gone back on his offer and says he cant see more than 1800$ in it. My opinion is that If I can get the 2000$ and throw in the crop it is the best that can be done.- If I dont sell very soon I will be compelled to buy shingles and put on a new roof on West side together with the kitchen as it leaks so the family cant stand it longer. - then beside there is the line between Barns must be surveyed off and one forth the fence put in (40 rods) the well to is in bad Shape at the top some new bricks must be
