(4) I have 12 steers that will weigh on avrage 1050 will sell for 3 c if I can get it, a good many of our best farmers have sold for that price, corn is worth 50 c Bu oats 30 c potatoes 75 to 1$ I have been diging a big Pond put some 26 days work on with one hand and team is elevn ft deep, pipes all laid, will hold a great deal of water and will be convenant about watering stock, besides we have fish when we want them. In your next write me how your timber is growing on your Claim, have you proved up any yet, hows is crops &c? do you get the Otto Democrat? all well from your Father &c SG Finney
