The crop prospect here is quite good, I sold my 20 head of Cattle I was feeding, for 3 1/4 cents brought me near 800$ Smith Thorp died one week ago at Tom Bomars, not worth a cent. - Wm Reed is hear on a Visit from S.D. looks better than you ever saw him he had a good many questions to ask about you. I have rented out my land to deferent persons am now trying to get along without hireing a hand. We are in usual good health from your Father &c SG Finney
