(5) to Thomas Thompson (Jerries Boy) a great deal of land has Change hands lately Fielding Barns is in debt about 2000$ and it is thought he will have to sell, and get away. They have Commenced the new Court house in Otto, it will cost over 100 000$ And a new Jail in Albia 15000$ so you may be sure our tax will be high for the next two or three years to come, my tax this year or rather for 1891 is 175$ and for this year will be over 200$ the high tax keep the People on a [illegible] all the time.
