My God what a condition in life, but as the tree falls so it must lie. some people will Profiet from good advice, others will not, But rush on to destruction as fast as time will hurry them. but then I must Close my letter for now Ernest is putting out about 25 acres of Corn, I have rented the rest of my ground out and seeded down a good deal. Well George I am now past 75 years of age I begin to feel as though the Battle of life will soon be over With me, then the family will all be broken up, at Present we are well, From your father &c SG Finney
