46 On December 21, 1936, the annual Christmas party of the Cary Club was held at the home of Mrs. Carrie Reickert. A delicious luncheon was served at 12 o'clock under the efficient supervision of Mrs. L. M. Phelps and Alta Emerson The attendance was 100% perfect. After the luncheon a meeting was held with Mrs. Carrie Reickert, the vice-pres- ident presiding. Sixteen members ans- swered to roll call. The secretary gave a report of the last meeting which was approved as read. A motion was made and seconded that if there is not enough money collected to pay for the chickens, that enough be taken from treasury to finish paying the bill of a $1.05. carried. The program consisted of a Christmas Story. The Gift of the Magi, by O. Henry, by Mrs. Erwin, As a program of entertainment the little rhy- mes given with the tiny toys in the plum pudding were interesting and entertaining. A couple of question and answer contests were given the first, a Christmas Tree contest with ans wers given with names of parts of a tree.
