55 The Cary Club met with Mrs. A. S. Fernow the afternoon of May 3, 1937. Mrs. Carrie Reickert, the vice-president presiding. Eleven members responded to roll-call but thirteen were present. The secretary gave a report of the last meeting which was approved as read. Aea B. Price gave a report on part of the Linn County Federation of Clubs meeting held April 27, 1937. A motion was made and seconded that the formal ballet be made infor- mal and the secretary cast a unan- imous vote for Mrs. Cecil Seger to be- come a new member, carried. Next followed the election of officers; a motion was moved and seconded that the formal ballet be made informal and the secretary cast a unanimous vote for Mrs. Carrie Reickert as president, carried. Motion mov- ed and seconded that the rules be waived and the secretary cast the ballet for Alta Emerson for vice-president, carried. Mrs. Gerald Thomas was elected secretary, and Elva Emerson, treasurer. The program consisted of a book review, Hurricane by Woodhoft reviewed by Mrs. Clara E. Wilson. The club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Clara E. Wilson. Aea B. Price, secretary.
