The Cary Club met Oct. 3 with Mrs. Oca B. Price. Fourteen members responded to roll call with quotation or verse from James Whitcomb Riley's poems. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Mrs. Wilson read a clipping from an old Marion paper. The article was written by Mrs. Billington telling of the founding of the Cary Club Jan. 16 1878 and some of its early history, also its motto. "Thank God for the work He lets us do. I'm glad I live in the world with you." Mrs. Wilson was appointed by the president to work on the history of the club. It was suggested that the club do something in commemoration of Founders Day and it was decided that each member think it over and be ready with plans at next meeting. Mrs. A.E.
