188 Ch. Efficiency in [Gov't] Mrs Max Mayer. Ch. of Women in Industry Mrs. Ellen M. Rourke. Others present were S. Saunspach Mrs. Carl E. Seashore, Editor of Johnson W. Bulletin. A discussion followed on naming Com. Ch. Olive S. Johnson Cedar Rapids was named Ch. of Legal Statues of Women. Mrs. Stasen of Sioux City was named 11th Dist Chairman. A letter was read from Miss Margaret Owen in the interests of the child labor amendment. Miss Owens itinerary was discussed. The President told of receiving a letter from former Governor Kendall received in Italy at the time of the passing of Mrs. Kendall The Board voted to ask Miss Owen to come to Iowa the 2nd week in September with a tentative itinerary as follows _ Mason City, Clear Lake, Des Moines, Iowa City, Davenport. Discussion of proposed Iowa Constitutional Amendment followed. A motion prevailed that the "get out the hole" com. and Efficiency in Gov't. Com. co-operate in getting out the vote, especially in reference to the Iowa Constitutional Amendment. Motion made by Mrs. Stromsten, seconded by Mrs. Mayer _ carried. Discussion of bill for City Engineer for cities of the first class followed. Mrs Stromsten saying that are now elected and it was her opinion that it should be an appointive office. There are
