I rather enjoyed the voyage - and would have enjoyed it thoroughly if Van had not been indisposed. Yokohama was almost entirely destroyed by the earthquake of 1923. Now its architecture is a combination of modern and ruins from the destruction. Its rather interesting to one who has never has visited
