Soda Currant Loaf 1 lb. flour 1/4 lb sugar 1/2 lb currants 1/4 lb. butter 1 or 2 eggs 1 teaspoonful of soda in a gill of buttermilk - To be put into the oven as soon as mixed without being worked. Tea cakes without fruit must be kneaded & half the soda is sufficient -
