Iowa House Ft Dodge Jany 14/70 My Dear Little Wife I returned from Algoma last night. thot perhaps I might find a letter from you but presume you directed to Algona it will be forwarded me here - well I bot three lots there & am better pleased with the place the more I become acquainted with it. My Lumber is beginning to arrive here & I have all I can attend to I think I have struck a good thing by which I can make grub for my dear little family. The prospect that the Road will stop at Algona two years or longer will give us a big start & it will be a busy town after The Road reaches there. I think you will like it first rate in fact I know you will because I will be there in "Person" as you will see by the paper I send you
