Algona, Iowa, Apr 17th 1875 My Dear Wife Yours 14th to hand its strange that you did not get my last letter before that time, suggesting that you have best close your visit there on account of duties at home - take you altogether I am inclined to think you make a very "slow coach" to be among "The sights" two or three weeks & not see them. You certainly cant consider your time of much value. My time, especially in a busy season of the year is money, and when I am tied up I am money out, particularly when I don't know what calculations to make. Its always best to lay your plans well, & then work up to them, it's drifting along by force of circumstances merely is simply fuddling & don't mean anything too much on "The Bover" style which I don't like as you well know. I had expected some intimation as to when you would start for, or reach home so I could make some calculations myself as to my business. I read a letter from Nettie few days ago she was well but
