have been saved for my obituary, I find R. N. would not let Rume carry the Colonel's pocket-book to him. He said if any valuable paper was lost Rume would become responsible. So the Spencers cannot blame rune. I am very grateful to you for all your kindness to me and hope to be in shape some day to repay, in part, at least the many favors received from Algona friends Sincerely Yours Gertrude H. Woodworth P.S. We think Mr. Woodworth must have had some papers in his coat relating to the business he was transacting. Rume will find out. I wish he would drop the matter.
