Saving...
Mrs Wilson I dont know whether you have been expecting Ma and Mrs Sherman all this time or not but I hope you have not. Ma did not go Thursday on account of the rain. Friday she got ready, but it rained again so she thought she had better not go, and Sat we had company ourselves. I write this morning to tell you that if it is a pleasant day they will come tomorrow afternoon. If it isn't a pleasant day they will come the first pleasant day afterwards. There isnt much us in calculating on any kind of weather nowadays. If its the eclipse thats causing all this hubbub among the elements, as some say it is — then I shall put down eclipses as a positive nuisance. I'm not very certain that is though — I can not come with them tomorrow for I am to be very busy this week, and really ought to stay at home if Ma is away. Bill
