Maybe I'm crediting you with more sensitiveness than you possess but I don't think I am. I believe I understand you now and that it was because I though you possessed the average male's obtuseness that I misjudged you before. I didn't want you to be less than perfect - and you aren't. A simile floats into my mind unbidden. When a flawed vase comes into a woman's possession she can do one of two things: she can turn the flaw to the back and pretend it isn't there, or she can smash it or discard it. I've often wondered which I am.
