if I'm not probably in love with you in all the ways there are. If so, it's a very pleasant and exciting state. Funny thing, I can be very frank with you in these pages because this is my fifth day at home without a letter from you so I have a feeling you'll never read these pages. Because unless you understood from my letter Sunday then we have lost the way to each other. I could not offer again and each day of silence will drive me further back into my protecting shell. In one way it would be better for you because I think I'd be a trial for any man; not comfortable, as you thought me, except to the man who understands - and controls - me. X ----- X
